”How Far is Tattoo Far?” is an MTV show in which two guests, who are either friends or dating, go on the show and pick a tattoo for their partner. Sometimes the tattoos are good, but more often than not, the tattoos are terrible. This reminds me of game theory, specifically the Nash Equilibrium. The participants in this show, especially those who have lost trust in their partners, are easily susceptible to the Nash Equilibrium. They might feel as though they’d get the worse end of the deal if their partner chose to give them a terrible tattoo while they chose to give their partner a good tattoo. In these scenarios, both partners almost always give each other a bad tattoo. This is a good example of the Nash Equilibrium.

That is an interesting view of this tv show. I hadn't thought to apply game theory to tv shows before, yet once one does, it definitely opens one up to a very different perspective of life than what one had before, and what most people have. I wonder if game theory can also be used to expose some of humanity's flaws, as it shows some things that we are prone to do, which aren't necessarily good and yet are common, such as the people's tendencies to choose bad tattoos rather than good ones for their partners as a result of distrust.
