No matter what sport you are in, they all have the same result and lessons. Sports take a lot of mental toughness, grit, endurance, discipline, sacrifice, and so much more that happens behind the scenes. Playing sports my whole life has taught me many lessons I still use to this day. They have also taught me to respect everyone and that when playing sports, it's a release from the real world. Sports prepare you for the real world by developing teamwork skills, giving you confidence, having social awareness, taking directions and criticism (good or bad), time management, helping you to not get in your head, and how to deal with pressure. "Millions of children participate in sporting activities, according to the New York University Child Study Center. While you may be aware of the benefits team sports offer your child now -- such as social interaction, physical fitness, and a sense of accomplishment -- you may not realize that team sports can have a lasting impact. Some of these skills will carry over into his adult life, according to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, so you need to stay involved in your child's team sports to ensure he gets the most out of the experience." (Sutton, Amy, 2018) Living a healthy lifestyle and having high self-esteem will make your days go better, and you can look on the bright side of things and not be down all of the time. Proverbs 2:11-12 says. "Discretion will protect you; understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words perverse," Kids and young adults in sports tend to make more intelligent and wiser choices than those not participating in sports. Sports help keep grades up and lead a child down the right path.
