Hey Lenue! Entrepreneurs are crazy people aren't they! They put everything on the line and hold out hope knowing they could fail and loose everything. I love the examples you gave in your explanation of how entrepreneurs have historically pulled themselves out of poverty and into riches. It is an amazing feat, and I would add that their war against poverty doesn't stop there.
For every entrepreneur you listed, there is a multi billion dollar industry (or sometimes several) that has grown from their success, creating new and better jobs for thousands if not tens of thousands of people! In a very literal since, these authors not only made bank for themselves, but also for every person involved on the production of their goods. Be it the shop keepers who sold Rawlings books, the Makeup artists who Ready Oprah for the camera, or the scientist who developed new and better methods of storing and therefore selling music, there are a myriad of people whose poverty is lessened by the actions of entrepreneurs!
Entrepreneurs through their risk taking do not just help themselves, but all those around them.
Merry Christmas!
