For many, running out of resources is a constant concern. Especially oil, which fuels and powers almost all of our daily lives. But the truth is that we are not running out of oil like most people believe. In fact, we actually have a good amount of oil saved and stored. When oil prices go up, people believe that this is a result of oil running low. As we develop we constantly come up with new ways to discover, extract, and store oil, which can sometimes be a costly process. As Penn State puts it, "The reality is not that we are "running out of oil," but rather that we are transitioning from a period of easily-accessible oil at low prices to an era of increasingly unconventional production, which has higher costs." (Penn State, paragraph 6) With unconventional oil exploration already so expensive its hard to believe that the price could get any higher, but that is exactly what might happen. Eventually people will begin to look for other alternatives for fuel. (Penn State, paragraph 6)
